Twitter mit Werbung in Trending Topics

Als Teil der “Promoted Tweets” schaltet Twitter seit heute erstmals auch in den Trending Topics Werbung.
Mashable berichtet:
These promoted trends are rumored to sell for tens of thousands of dollars. When a user clicks on the trending ad, he is directed to a search results page with the advertiser’s promoted tweet listed at the top.
Aktuelle wird in den Trending Topics z.B. für den Film Toy Story 3 geworben. Die Anzeige hat das gleiche Format wie organische Trending Topics, wird aber mit dem Zusatz “Promoted” dargestellt.
