Google wird den Social-Gaming- und Fun-App-Anbieter Slide für 182 Millionen US-Dollar übernehmen, berichtet Techcrunch unter Berufung auf “various sources”. — Spekuliert wird, ob Slide als ein Teil von Google Games oder des geplanten sozialen Netzwerks Google Me eingesetzt werden wird. Offiziell soll der Deal am Freitag bekannt gegeben werden.
In der Selbsbeschreibung auf slide.com heißt es über das im August 2005 von PayPal Co-Founder Max Levchin gegründete Unternehmen:
