Google Video: April-Deadline ausgesetzt

Anders als vor einer Woche angekündigt wird Google die selbst auferlegte Deadline für Videos bei Google Video am 29. April aussetzen. Wie das Unternehmen im Webmaster Central Blog bekannt gab, werden Videos auch nach dem 29. April noch verfügbar sein und gesetzte Links nicht ins Leere führen.
We will be working to automatically migrate your Google Videos to YouTube. In the meantime, your videos hosted on Google Video will remain accessible on the web and existing links to Google Videos will remain accessible.
Neben bestehenden Download-Links will Google auch die Migration von Videos zu YouTube erleichtern.

O je, da haben die sich aber voll ins eigene Fleisch geschnitten mit der Deadline, das hat so einige Videofreaks in Aufruhrstimmung versetzt. Aber beim Nutzen von Fremdservices ist man dem immer ausgeliefert. Nur eine weitere Lektion. Ich lade erhaltenswerte Videos grundsätzlich immer sofort runter.
