Panda-Update in DE “in einigen Monaten”
Matt Cutts hat bei einem Live-Webchat Fragen rund um das Panda-Update beantwortet. Demnach wird der internationale Rollout wahrscheinlich erst “in einigen Monaten” stattfinden:
When will Google be ready to expand Panda beyond English queries? “Probably not in the next couple weeks. Maybe in the next couple months,” Cutts said.
Als Begründung für das spätere Update gibt Matt an, dass Panda primär für englische Seiten anwendbar ist und für weitere Sprachen erst angepasst werden muss.
Im Webchat ging Matt außerdem auf den Fall J.C. Penney ein. Die Penalty wurde nach 90 Tagen und einem Reconsideration Request aufgehoben:
Google found that the company “did quite a bit of work to cleanup what had been going on. [...] I think the penalty was tough and the appropriate length.”
